The mission of the Children and Family Training Division is to provide a strength-based, family-centered, competency-based training program for Child Welfare professionals and para-professionals by delivering specialized courses for caseworkers, supervisors, case services aides, foster parents and other child and family serving personnel.
Colorado’s Child Welfare Training System (CWTS) is dedicated to bringing the highest quality training to those who serve children and families in our state.
Our aim is to be:

- Reflective of evidence-based best practices in the field.
The State of Colorado selected Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect to serve as coordinator for the CWTS.
