Kathy R. Clark, MSW

IV-E Stipend & Training Certification Specialist
Kathy R Clark, MSW, has more than twenty-two years of experience in the human services field. Her experience began with a short stay in child welfare and then on to working with and advocating for survivors and families of domestic abuse, both in the shelter and in the courtroom. Most of her career has been with the Metropolitan State University of Denver, Department of Social Work where Kathy developed the child welfare stipend program, program and curriculum for a minor/certification in child welfare, as well as several bachelor and master level courses. Kathy was also an interim BSW Field Director for two years. In collaboration with the other campus institutions, Kathy was involved in developing other Auraria Campus initiatives, such as the safety and healthy relationship programs and resources for students. In 2016, Kathy made a shift to work for the Colorado Department of Human Services – Division of Child Welfare as the Stipend & Training Certification Specialist. Workforce Recruitment and Retention is where Kathy’s passion continues to be.
Kathy received her bachelor of arts in social work from the Metropolitan State University of Denver and her master of social work from the University of Denver.
