Large-County Learning Coordinator

Angela Parker, BA, joined the CWTS team in January 2025 as a large-county learning coordinator. She is excited to continue serving families by creating engaging environments to facilitate learning for new and veteran child welfare staff throughout Colorado.

Angela has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. She began her career at the Emily Griffith Center before joining El Paso County Children, Youth, and Family Services. Angela began her journey in child welfare working with families impacted by sexual abuse as both an intake and ongoing caseworker, with a focus on youth who acted out sexually. She spent a few years as a family engagement facilitator before she became the staff development and training supervisor for El Paso County. In this role, she collaborated with CWTS to provide new caseworkers with guidance and support while working toward their initial caseworker certification, and she also developed and facilitated training for the agency. Angela retired from El Paso County after twenty-five years.

When she is not working, Angela enjoys the outdoors, whether it is her patio, a beautiful trail, or floating on a lake. From a young age she has enjoyed crafting and sewing and is now venturing into woodworking.
