Lead Large-County Learning Coordinator

Colleen Gibley-Reed, MSW, LCSW, is the lead regional training coordinator for CWTS and is housed at the Northeast Regional Training Center in Fort Collins. Colleen is responsible for cultivating and managing effective working relationships with the counties in her region in an effort to respond to their professional development needs, as well as ensuring smooth training delivery experiences for learners and providers.

Prior to working for the Kempe Center, Colleen spent nineteen years with the Larimer County Department of Human Services. Her child welfare experience includes work in family preservation, ongoing child protection, foster and kinship care, staff training, and practice coaching. Colleen earned her BS in human development and family studies from Colorado State University in 1994 and an MSW with a clinical concentration in child welfare from the University of Denver in 2010. Colleen is designated as a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Colorado. In addition to working for the Kempe Center, she is currently an adjunct faculty member for the University of Denver, teaching at the Graduate School of Social Work.

When not working, Colleen enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her four furry children or getting lost in a good book, movie, or reality television show. She is also passionate about social justice and commits to a daily focus on disrupting her privilege and promoting equity for all individuals and groups of people.
