Credit Health and Remediation for Youth in Foster Care
Need resources for teaching youth about credit and financial wellness? Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Welfare has partnered with Credit Builders Alliance to provide training on how to communicate credit education to youth,
including why credit is important for financial independence, the benefits of having good credit, and basic strategies for building and sustaining good credit as youth emerge into independent adulthood.
In February 2019, a task group was created to explore rules that look to improve Colorado’s foster care system. Foster, kin, and adoptive parents, like you, can offer a unique perspective that can ensure that the steering committee addresses the needs of your family and the children you care for. Only one session is necessary to attend, as the same rules will be discussed at each meeting.
