CWTS Project Director Kasey Matz shares some love with Dinger.

In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Colorado Rockies honored the Kempe Foundation in a pre-game ceremony at Coors Field on April 12.

The Kempe Foundation supports the Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect. The Child Welfare Training System – which is responsible for providing training for Colorado’s county human services agencies and foster parents – is a project of the Kempe Center.

Here’s what the Rockies’ announcer said to the crowd at Coors Field:

The Colorado Rockies welcome Kempe to Coors Field in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Kempe is a worldwide leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.
Kempe encourages you to help protect and care for children by offering to help when you see a parent of child in need or just being a good neighbor and friend.
To support Kempe’s life-changing work to care for children impacted by abuse and neglect, go to Join Kempe and go to bat for children. Please join the Colorado Rockies in thanking Kempe for their important work.
